Making Changes - What You Put Out Into The Universe is What You Will Receive!

It's been a while since my last blog post, and there has been a lot that has been going on here!  Without going into all the unnecessary details, in the last 6-7 months, I have now moved my entire collection twice! 😵💫 This most recent time was a reminder to myself to take a risk and bet on yourself completely!  While I was, and am thankful for what this situation allowed me to escape from, I realized it wasn't all I had originally understood it to be.  I am sure many of us in life have experienced those situations be it work, education, or hell even just a planned evening out with friends suddenly taking a wrong turn.

Regardless, I found myself in the middle of an uncomfortable situation that would require me to move everything once again.  Unfortunately, because of how the new space is, I did have to bring some of my larger animals (Morelia and things) to a friends place up north.  Luckily, their dedication to the species, and their connection to the right folks made me very comfortable in bringing them up.  That was part one.  Part two was moving the rest of the collection.  Luckily, I learned some tricks from the move 7 months prior and was able to get the ball rolling pretty smoothly.  Let me also say, my partner, Mark, has been incredibly supportive, and helpful through all of this, and has continued to motivate me and keep me focused and centered.  This move was far from ideal as daytime temps made it impossible to move the way I needed to during the day, so I had to wait for the sun to set and temps to drop in order to get everyone and everything onto the truck quickly and safely.  Also, it is the middle of everything being gravid - so I'm moving things are carefully as possible as to not create any back end issues with egg laying females, and gavid Amazons.  One 12 hour period of suboptimal temperatures (though prime shipping temps LOL) would not be terribly concerning in the long run.

Overall, with the help of my partner, and a friend the following day, everything was set in the new place, and we're rockin and rollin'!  Prior to writing this, I pulled some clutches of eggs, and last night I fed a large majority of the animals with great success.  That's always a good sign!  While I still tweak things and make adjustments in the coming days and weeks (especially as transitioning to a largely ambient room setup), I'll be taking you all along the journey on all my socials.  I've been a little quiet while all this has gone on, but that is all about to change, so stay tuned!
